We will be dancing for 1 hour. Bring water, wear comfortable clothing & shoes. This is a beginner line dance class but we will also play some classic fun line dance music with quick reviews so everyone can join in the fun! New line dances will be introduced weekly so no experience is necessary. Just come, learn, socialize, and have a fun time! Residents of any city/town are encouraged to attend.

Senior Line Dance Lessons, Burrillville, RI

Join Melissa for a fun, low-impact line dancing class designed for all seniors! This is the perfect class to stay active, sharpen your memory, and socialize.

• What to bring: Please wear comfortable clothing and shoes (shoes with good support are recommended!) and don’t forget your water bottle to stay hydrated.
• What we do: We will review the beginner line dances learned in previous weeks to build your confidence. Each week, Melissa will introduce a brand new line dance so you can keep learning and challenging yourself.
• Who can join: This class is open to seniors living in any city or town. New dancers are welcome to join every week—no experience is needed!

INTERMEDIATE LINE DANCE LESSONS/REVIEWS, WARWICK, RI

1st 2 Monday’s of the month
This is your chance to learn some intermediate line dances. The ones that are difficult to just pick up on the floor. Lessons for each week will be posted in the facebook event on the Get in Line RI Line Dancing Facebook page. There will be 2 New Lessons and 2 Quick Reviews each week – Quick reviews are designed to refresh our memories and work out any issues we maybe having with the dances. 

3rd Monday of the month – QUICK REVIEWS ONLY
We will review a couple of walls of dances learned in the past to refresh our memory so we are able to dance these dances at the intermediate dance nights every other Friday at The Rally and on the last Monday of the month at the Elks for the intermediate line dance party.

The last Monday of the month: NEW – INTERMEDIATE LINE DANCE PARTY!
No walkthroughs only dancing. This is so we get to dance as many intermediate dances as possible. I will be on the mic as needed to help guide. If you need help with a dance, we will add it as a review in the following weeks. The dances on this playlist will be from the Monday night intermediate lesson nights. If you didn’t attend any of the lessons but know the dances, please come and dance. It will be a nonstop high energy dance night. 6-8pm.

Tuesday

Beginner Line Dance Night, Lincoln, RI

Nothing too complicated at the Cool Pickle. We will gather to eat, dance, and have some fun each week from 7-9PM.  Line dance walkthroughs and lessons as needed throughout the night. The Rally Line Dance & Partner Dance, Warwick, RI

Every Friday Night
Location: The Rally, 1800 Post Road, Warwick, RI
$5 cover for dancers. Non-dancers do not have to pay. You don’t want to miss this dance night. Full dance floor, fun atmosphere, great people, and lots of dancing! We dance here every Friday from 8-11PM. Beginner line dance night on the 1st & 3rd Friday. Intermediate line dance night on the 2nd & 4th Friday. There will be line dance lessons/walk throughs during the beginner nights only and 1 line dance lesson for the intermediate nights!  THERE IS NO LINE DANCING ON HALLOWEEN!

This monthly workshop is geared to those who have never line danced in the past or who have just started and would like to learn the most common line dance steps, terminology, and a few beginner line dances to showcase what was taught during the 1-3pm session. You’ve taken all the lessons and now you want to practice what you’ve learned. Once a month the floor is yours. I will play as many line dance requests as possible during the evening. Pattern Partner dancing is difficult at this location – but if you would like to try to make it work or you can easily West Coast, Cha Cha, East Coast, or Country Swing, just ask – and I will play it for you.
