Fitness in the Parks Line Dancing, Presented by Get in Line RI
Ready to step out of the office and onto the dance floor? Join us at The Providence Rink for a perfect lunchtime break! Whether you are looking to get moving, enjoy the fresh air, or just have some fun, this all-ages event is a great way to sneak some exercise into your day.

💃 What to Expect
- No Experience Needed! Whether you’ve been dancing for years or are a new dancer, you’ll fit right in.
- 3 Guided Lessons: Melissa will walk through at least three different beginner – improver line dances.
- All Fitness in the Parks program participants must complete a waiver before participating in their first activity. Waivers can be turned in to the instructor of the first class you attend. 📲 Download Providence Park Activities Waiver. Melissa will have waivers on hand for you to complete on the day of the event.
- All Ages Welcome: Bring your coworkers, friends, or family!
☀️ What to Bring & Wear
Since we’ll be dancing outdoors, a little preparation goes a long way:
- Stay Hydrated & Protected: Bring a water bottle and be sure to wear sunscreen.
- Dress Comfortably: Wear clothes that let you move freely.
- Footwear Matters: Sneakers are highly recommended for this activity. While you are welcome to wear boots, please keep in mind that we will be dancing on smooth concrete, which could scuff or damage the bottoms of your boots.
